Kemer is a district of Antalya on the coast of Mediterranean Sea that is 40 km away from the city center. The district Kemer is one of the most important tourism centers of Turkey with a coastal strip of 52 km at the foothills of Taurus Mountains. One of the most attractive features of Kemer is its natural beauties. Here sea, forests and mountains converge at the same point. The clarity of sea, greenness of forests and reach of sea waves to pine trees and finally shading effect of pine trees on the beaches are greatest attractions of this district. The shoreline that starts from Beldibi to Tekirova is a completely natural beach. There are numerous bays and small natural ports among indented shores. It is possible to swim in sites such as Phaselis that is a national park with an ancient city standing still. Recently, safari tours have become quite popular in highlands such as Söüt Cumas, Altnkaya and Dereköy.

Moreover, another important attraction is caves. For instance, Beldibi cave is on the shoreline 27 km southwest of Antalya. There are prehistoric findings. Another important cave worth seeing is Molla Delii. It is located on the eastern slope of Tahtal Mountain that rises on the west of Kemer. You can access this cave only by walking from villages of Tekirova or Aa Kuzdere on the land route of Kemer – Kumluca.

Kemer occupies an important place in yacht tourism as well with a modern marina featuring a capacity of 320 yachts. Marina and 52 km long shoreline was awarded with Blue Flag thanks to fulfilling the criteria laid down by European Environment Training Foundation (FEEK). Kemer hosts plenty of events during the tourism season. Phaselis Artistic Events, Kemer Off-Shore Races, World Rally Championship Turkey Leg (WRC Rally of Turkey) and Kemer Carnival are just some of those events during the season contributing to social and touristic life of the region.

Must-see places around Kemer can be listed as follows: Idryos, Phaselis Ancient City, Olympos Ancient City, Chimera (Burning Stone), Adrasan, Üç Adalar, Göynük Canyon, kiz Kayalar, Ekopark, Ulupnar and Seljuk Hunting Mansion. The district is founded on a shoreline of 46 km at the foothills of Western Taurus Mountains. The district is surrounded by Mediterranean Sea from east and by forests and mountains from west covering an area of 53.483 km2. 45.000 hectares of our district is covered by forests. The highest altitude at the district center is 15 m. Approximately 300 days are sunny in a year. Sea temperature is 10-12 0C in winter and 27-29 0C in summer. This means that you can swim in Kemer for 8 months a year.

Kemer also hosts world famous night clubs. These clubs are aligned on a 2 km long street that is closed to traffic at the center. Souvenirs, clothing, accessories, jewelry and leather products are abundant.
